| Tasting notes | Musigny is remarkable for its great purity of colour. The aromas are reminiscent of violet and fruit stone when the wine is young. After eight to ten years, these aromas become very refined and complex: fallen leaves, damp earth, moss and hints of fur or leather. The tasting sensations are incomparable in terms of finesse and harmony. The tannins are elegant, although very much alive. Silk and velvet match the liveliness of the acidity. The lingering aftertaste is dominated by hints of rare, exotic woods as well as candied cherry. |

Founded in 1880, Maison Joseph Drouhin cellars have spread from the historical cellars of the Dukes of Burgundy and the Kings of France in Beaune (12th-18th century) to the Moulin de Vaudon (an 18th century watermill), close to the Grand Cru vineyards of Chablis.
Self-imposed discipline, a desire to learn, a deep sense of values, passion and daring are the qualities that have been handed down through the generations, together with the art of winemaking and an unfailing sense of quality. Today, the fourth generation of the Drouhin family, headed by Frédéric Drouhin, is now at the helm. Each of them has his role to play in imposing the family "Charter of Excellence".
