| Tasting notes | A fine, ruby colour. Though not yet fully open, displays notes of blackberry and raspberry mingled with a suggestion of liquorice and vanilla. The attack reveals a fine, rich tannic structure of considerable character. The tannins, both powerful and elegant, are still rather forward on the palate, supporting clearly defined but expressively complex oaky flavours of toast, coconut and cigar.The long, lingering and very harmonious finish underlines the character of a wine which is full of promise but needs more time to develop.This wine will perfectly accompany grilled red meat or abalone in tasty sauce but will also enhance mushroom flavours nicely. |
