In September 2012, the 5th generation of the family, Miguel Torres Maczassek, took over the position of General Manager of the group.

Bodegas Torres debuts in the world’s top ten bestselling brandies chart, the ‘Best Selling Brands’ published by the British magazine Drinks International, result of a survey among 100 top bars that received votes in ‘The World’s 50 Best Bars 2015’ poll. Torres is the only Spanish brand which has broken into the brandy category ranking this year, in which 80% are Cognacs or Armagnacs.

It comes from white varietals, distilled in copper vats in a slow and sophisticated process. The brandy has been aged in the best barrels of American oak, through a long ageing process, enriched by the wood and the sweet spices that the best aged distillates provide.
