Winemaking has been a Coppola family tradition for several generations. It was over 30 years ago that Francis Coppola established the winery, which turned out to be on the famed Inglenook Estate. The wine making team of the winery consists of 5 world class winemakers and a crew of over 60 in the winery team. The wines express true appellation characteristics of California, which made in the same spirit - for sharing with friends and family, following the motto of the company “food, wine, adventure”.

The continuing legend of Rubicon Estate, one of California’s oldest and proudest wineries, began in 1880. In 1975, Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased and started their own winery. It was in 2006 when the winery was renamed as Rubicon Estate. The Rutherford Appellation is at the center of the Napa Valley both geographically and historically. The Rubicon Estate is located on the heart of the Rutherford Bench, where the terroir is considered to be elegant and sophisticated. Iconic wines made since 1991 by Scott McLeod, Director of Winemaking, who was recognized as 2009 Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast.
