Baron Philippe de Rothschild is launching the world’s first Mouton Cadet Wine Bar in China. It will be located within No. 9 Garden, the fine Mediterranean restaurant and bar in downtown Guangzhou.
Baron Philippe de Rothschild has been motivated by a constant ambition of making the world’s finest wines. Now the wines made by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild family are available in 150 countries, with a presence of vineyards in France, Chile and California.
As the icon brand of Baron Philippe de Rothschild family, Mouton Cadet was created in 1930, being the world’s most widely accessible wine brand. Since 1980s, it began to appear in many different spheres: sports, fashion, and cinema. For the past 18 years, it has been the official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival (France).
The Mouton Cadet Wine Bar will unfold its historical journey during the past 80 years, with a similar theme to its wine museum and cellar door in Bordeaux, France. It will be the first time that dedicated display materials will be showcased outside of its territory in France. Another highlight in the wine bar will be a private room dedicated to the great châteaux owned by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild: Château d’Armailhac, Château Clerc Milon and the legendary first growth: Château Mouton Rothschild.
The Mouton Cadet Wine Bar will open its doors this mid-March 2010. As the partner and exclusive importer of Baron Philippe de Rothschild wines in China, Torres China will organize launch events in conjunction with the management of No. 9 Garden.
